Tarik was born in Babylon. As a child he would go to the banks of river Euphrates and play with the clay, fashioning it into various forms unaware that this activity would inspire his life’s work. He would wander to nearby Babylon to gaze at the great ruins, not knowing that one day his own statues would stand in the Iraqi Museum close to his inspiration. His dialogue with the clay reflects the struggle for justice throughout history and his love of humanity. Tarik’s statues link past legends with the present
My artwork philosophy
The themes of my actions are in the embodiment of the human love, beauty and intrinsic value, and the act of deliberate killing and the act of war in the elimination, and thus the elimination of minds that may be able to change the course of life.
